Vashon Island is one of the largest islands in the Puget Sound.
www.vashonmap.com It is like a floating Glastonbury/Wedmore/Darras Hall. There was a lot of tie-dye.
Dean, legend that he is, let us borrow his Vespa to pootle round on. What fun we had...

Mount Rainier, ever present.

We went to Jensen Point and parked up then walked on the beach. There are so many shells and crabs there. Thinking of how much life there is in the water is mind boggling. We found this fallen tree

It was a perfect natural hammok!

At Point Robinson Light House we found this shelter that someone had built. It was great for huddling in for lunch. Although it was about 27 degrees, the wind was quite chilly.

This is one of the local vessels that passed as we were eating. Each one of those crates is the size of an articulated lorry back.

We needed fuel and thankfully found this petrol station, straight out of the movies.

Vashon is famous for its Lavender farms. We were going to pick our own (like you can strawberries) but it wasn't quite ready. The lady let us walk around though. It was soooo relaxing with the lavender scent in the air.
